What the maths is doing
The calculator multiplies your area by the current rate band for the job, adds the $35 per m² break-out line if something is coming out, and loads a difficult block by 15 percent. Council permit fees stay outside the figure because they belong to the council. It gets you a truthful bracket for tonight's budgeting; the single written number comes from a free site measure.
